Stay Informed: Upcoming Roadworks and Infrastructure Improvements
By Dakota Flint
Infrastructure is the backbone of any thriving community, and ours is no exception. To ensure safer and more efficient travel for everyone, several roadworks and infrastructure improvements are scheduled in our area. Here’s what you need to know:
Main Street Overhaul
The stretch of Main Street from Park Avenue to Elm Street will be under construction starting next month. This project includes road resurfacing, sidewalk repairs, and improved lighting.
Bridge Repair
The bridge over Mill Creek will be closed for repairs starting in two weeks. A detour will be in place, so plan your routes accordingly.
New Bike Lanes
In an effort to promote safer and more sustainable transportation, new bike lanes will be added to several roads around town. Work is expected to begin in the fall.
Park Renovation
Our beloved Central Park is getting a facelift! Improvements include new playground equipment, updated picnic areas, and improved walking trails.
Water Main Upgrades
To improve our water system reliability, several water main upgrades are planned throughout the town. Residents may experience temporary water shutoffs during this work, but will be notified in advance.
Staying informed about these improvements allows us all to plan accordingly and understand the progress being made in our community. Remember, these temporary inconveniences are paving the way for a safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable community for us all.
